Jackie and I created these stunning maternity photos at sunset along the banks of Eno River and I could not be happier with how they turned out.

We got lucky with a beautiful, sunny evening that wasn't too cold. The gentle, warm light was perfect to emphasize her beautiful pregnancy glow.
I am so obsessed with the colors of this setting. I think the blue tones in the water and the sky create a sense of harmony in the composition, and the golden glow in the trees, paired with the soft green of the budding trees of early spring make for such a lovely pastel color palette.
I also love the sense of movement of all of the twisted roots and the flowing river.
I was also so excited to put a new client closet piece to work in this session. This beautiful reclamation gown is so lovely. It photographs gracefully, has a long sweeping train in the back, is unlined which allowed us to play with some backlighting, and it can be worn as a two piece to show off that growing belly, as a dress for a more traditional look, and can be worn with the sleeves on or off the shoulder.
